A Great And Historical Convention In Detroit

You may be tired of the rich and powerful corporate interest depriving average citizens of Detroit and other major cities of jobs, voting rights, power, respect and dignity. They are destroying our public school systems, local courts, and in many cases, placing our cities in receivership. They say repeatedly, "for the sake of the children" but in reality, it is actually for the sake of big money. If you are tired of the disenfranchisement of residents in our urban cities, please be present at the US Social Forum in Detroit, Michigan June 22-26 2010. Please visit the Website at http://www.ussf2010.org/ or call toll-Free 877-515-ussf.

Robert Bobb's Efforts Is Part Of A National Conspiracy

It seems apparant that there is an effort to take away the right to quality public education from African Americans and other minorities in the urban areas of this country. Education would, then become just a priviledge for the prized or elite few under a for-profit charter system.

Someone is unhappy with Robert Bobb's approach to dealing with DPS

An estimated 5000 marchers expressed their dismay with the recent actions of the Emergency Financial Manager, Robert Bobb, during a March 23, 2010 DPS Rally. The group included more than 20 community organizations, various labor unions and City Of Detroit and Detroit Public School employees. Several elected officials including some Detroit Public School Board Members were in attendance. For more detailed information, please visit the Website at the link: http://www.epacmcscommunityalerts.com/.

Please be aware that under a charter system, there is no real effective safegard against discrimination or job insecurity. Our right to self determination must not be compromised. The recent legislative efforts against our elected School Board is a direct assault on the voters of Detroit. Please be wise and embrase the value of our right to vote and decide that the future of children will be determined by our community, the voters. The School Board is a representative of our voices. Don't surrender that right to anyone or anything else and give up our voice in the decisions regarding our schools.

This particular news worthy event was effectively blacked out by the major local media sources.
